One particular ceremony during Vesak "Bathing the Buddha" is to pour scented, blessed water over the infant Prince to ask his blessing to erase bad luck, bad karma, and obstacles.

The Sutra on the Merit of Bathing the Buddha states that this ritual activity brings many blessings to offerers. Therefore, when we offer water to shower the Buddha with sincere, respectful, and absolute faith in the Buddha, the subsequently generate merits and blessings are immense.

Disciple  is pouring saffron scented blessed water over the infant Prince to ask his blessing to purify the body, speech, mind after sincerely praying Sakyamuni prayers and chanting his mantra in Vesak day May 31, 2026.
